Rejun (Clomiphene Citrate) is a non- steroidal agent prescribed for women who have problems becoming pregnant and is designed to induce ova production. It can also be administered by men (smaller dose) to increase the production of sperms (spermatogenesis).

Dosage & Administration Information:
Your individual dose is depending on your personal condition or circumstances. Please discuss yourself with your doctor or pharmacist to define your individual dosage. The common dosage for infertile women is usually one 50mg tablet each day on your first five days of a menstrual cycle. If men want to apply Rejun they should arrange an appointment with their doctor to discuss the correct dosage for their individual circumstances. Normally a dose of 25mg for male is advised daily for 25 days with five days rest for 6 or more month.

Sometimes and despite application of Rejun, ovulation still does not occur. In that case a second course of 2 tablets of Rejun is advised. It should be given for 5 days consecutive, starting from the fifth day of the next menstrual cycle. The daily dose may be even increased by 50 mg to 200 mg (maximum), till ovulation results. A Rejun- Therapy duration should never exceed five days, further a maximum of 6 courses should not be exceeded.

How does Rejun work:
The hormonal signals that cause the ovarian follicles to grow are released from the pituitary gland. These hormones are known for their actions in the ovary and are named Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Leutinizing Hormone (LH) for their actions. The pituitary gland receives their signals from the hypothalamus in the brain. Then Clomiphene barricades the estrogen receptor and "tricks" the brain into thinking that there exist only low estrogen levels. By implication the pituitary gland responds then immediately by releasing more FSH and LH, and is consequently stimulating follicular growth in the womens ovaries.

Whilst clomiphene citrate "fools" the pituitary gland and compels it to produce more FSH and LH, gonadotropin injections of FSH and LH obviously are able to increase the amount of signals directly. Nonetheless a treatment with these injections require more intensive monitoring than does a therapy with clomiphene citrate. In the main, a treatment with fertility drug is created to help women overcome their ovulatory dysfunction. Besides it is designed to produce multiple eggs, this way an even higher chance of pregnancy is created.
