How does Pitocin Injection (Oxytocin) work:
Pitocin Injection (Oxytocin) is used to start or help contractions during childbirth and help in the management of a miscarriage. Pitocin Injection is also used in the prevention and control of haemorrhage (bleeding) after delivery of your baby. Oxytocin belongs to a group of medicines called oxytocics. It makes the muscles of the uterus contract, helping to push out your baby. It is used in childbirth, in certain types of miscarriage and to prevent or control bleeding after delivery of your baby.
