How does Meftal (Mefenamic Acid) work: Meftal (Mefenamic Acid) is part of the NSAIDs group of medication (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Meftal is prescribed to provide relief from mild to moderate pains such as those associated with menstruation, primary dysmenorrhea, fevers and inflammation. Although Meftal will help to alleviate pain itself but it does not work to prevent the cause of the pain. Dosage & Administration: Meftal is not suitable for children under aged of 14. Consult your physician the correct dosage for you and strictly follow their instructions. The typical dose is 1 tablet every 6 hours for period lasting 2-7 days.
