What is Vyfat (Orlistat) used for? Vyfat (Orlistat) is a medication for serious weight loss. Individuals with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, or diabetes are candidates for this drug. Vyfat reduces fat intake in the intestine and works well with a low fat low calorie diet which may require a dietician. How should I use Vyfat (Orlistat)? The recommended dose of Vyfat is 1 capsule by mouth with a full glass of water alongside each main meal. To be effective, this medication requires a regimented low fat diet, exercise, and weight control. Your diet should contain no more than about 30 percent of calories from fat.
