How does Vermox (Mebendazole) work: Vermox (Mebendazole) is an anthelmintic agent prescribed to patients suffering from a range of worms, including hook worms, whip worms, round worms, pin worms, thread worms. The active ingredient, Mebendazole, works by starving parasites in the intestines causing them to die and consequently be flushed out of the patient`s system. Dosage & Administration: Vermox is suitable for both adults and children over 2 years old. Always follow instructions provided by their physicians. The typical dosage is 1-2 tablets a day, for between 1 and 3 days. It can be taken with or without food, and taken whole or split if preferred. Usually the worm(s) should have been successfully eliminated within 14 days. If re-infection occurs after 14 days of using Vermox, it may be necessary to repeat your course of medication.
