How does it work:

Melacare is a topical cream specially made for the treatment the inflammatory and pruritic signs of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses including redness, itching, and swelling. It is principally referred to as a corticosteroid.

Dosage & Administration:

In adults, the recommended dose of Melacare Cream is once a day. For children, you should apply a least amount as necessary. Using it for a prolonged period may hamper your child's growth and development.

Apply a thin film of the cream to the affected skin. Rub it in until the cream dissolves.

Don't use Melacare Cream for extended time or more often than prescribed as it may disrupt in creation of your own natural adrenal corticoid hormones in the body.

Side Effects:

• aching
• blisters in hair follicles
• thinning of the skin
• burning or itching of the skin
• increased redness of the skin
• irritation of the skin

Precautions:

Melacare Cream cannot be used for children under aged of 2 years. Avoid this cream from making a contact with your eyes.

Always inform your physician if you have the following conditions:

• breast-feeding
• acne or rosacea
• large areas of burned or damaged skin
• any type of active infection
• skin wasting or thinning
• pregnant or trying to get pregnant.

Also physician should know if you have an unusual or allergic reaction to steroids, mometasone, other medicines, dyes, foods, or preservatives.
