Kelo-Cote Solaire Gel (Octinoxate/Octisalate/Octocrylene/Oxybenzone) Tweet
How does it work: Kelo-Cote Solaire Gel is used to help lessen the appearance and discomfort of scars. It is used for a wide variety of scars such as those as a result of surgery, pregnant, trauma, burns, accidents, as well as hypertrophic keloid scars. When dry the gel leaves a silicone based, transparent, odorless, flexible, water-resistant, and breathable layer which lasts for roughly 12 hours. The gel is self-drying and can easily be applied to many different parts of the body, including joints and even hairy areas. Kelo-Cote Solaire Gel may be used alongside other medication as prescribed by your physician. Dosage & Administration: Always use as prescribed by your physician. Dosage can vary depending on the individual. Most commonly you will be instructed to use the gel twice a day, in the morning and evening, at intervals of 12 hours to that the scar is consistently protected by the gel. The following steps are meant as a general guide.
If the gel has not dried after 5 minutes you may have applied too much gel. If this is the case, carefully scrape some of the excess gel away. When dry you are able to use any cosmetics, lotions, creams, or pressure garments as you normally would. Side Effects: Kelo-Cote Solaire Gel is generally well tolerated, and any adverse effects are usually safe and not long lasting. Report any worrying or persistent adverse effects to your physician promptly. Precautions: Before using Kelo-Cote Solaire Gel, always ensure your physician is aware of any of following that apply to you.
