What is A-Ret Gel (Tretinoin) used for?

A-Ret Gel belongs to a family of medicines called Retinoids, and is effective in preventing pimples and healing existing pimples. It is prescribed to treat acne. It can also be used to reduce the signs of ageing like facial lines and sun spots, as well as alone or with other topical treatments to treat alopecia and other kinds of hair loss.

How should I use A-Ret Gel (Tretinoin)?

Always use A-Ret Gel carefully as prescribed by your physician or dermatologist.

Before apply A-Ret Gel, always wash your hands and the area of skin you are treating thoroughly and leave air dry.

The gel should be apply once a day, either in the morning or in the evening before sleeping.

It can take 8 to 12 weeks before the effects of A-Ret Gel are noticeable. Never self-medicate or adjust your dosage unless you have been specifically advised to do so.

What are the side effects of A-Ret Gel (Tretinoin)?

Possible side effects which are mild include:

• stinging sensations
• skin peeling
• skin redness

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience the following:

• skin crusting
• swelling
• excessive redness
• blistering, rashes
• hives
• chest pains
• trouble swallowing
• trouble breathing

Please Note

Avoid applying A-Ret Gel near your eyes, mouth, nose, or inner ear. Do not apply to any damaged, broken, or burnt skin.

Always remove all cosmetics before applying A-Ret Gel.

Avoid any unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, and use plenty of high-factor sunscreen when you do. Do not use tanning booths or UV lamps of any kind while using A-Ret Gel.

Before you begin using A-Ret Gel inform your physician if you:
