What is Neotigason (Acitretin) used for? Neotigason (Acitretin) is used to treat severe psoriasis (skin disease with thickened patches of red skin, often with silvery scales) and other severe disorders of the skin. Neotigason (Acitretin) is belong to a drug class Retinoid-like compound (vitamin A derivative). It is important for the normal growth and development of the body, especially the skin. In severe psoriasis and some other skin disorders Neotigason helps return the skin to normal. How should I use Neotigason (Acitretin)? Initial daily dose should be 25mg or 30mg for 2 to 4 weeks. In general, a daily dosage of 25-50mg taken for a further 6 to 8 weeks achieves optimal therapeutic results. However, it may be necessary in some cases to increase the dose up to a maximum of 75mg/day. What are the side effects of Neotigason (Acitretin)?
