What is Dalacin-C (Clindamycin Phosphate) used for? Dalacin-C (Clindamycin) is an antibiotic. It is used to treat bacterial infections in the body. It works by killing or stopping the growth of the bacteria causing infection. Dalacin C will not work against viral infections such as colds or flu. Dalacin C is recommended for patients who are allergic to penicillin or patients for whom penicillin is not suitable. How should I use Dalacin-C (Clindamycin Phosphate)? Dalacin-C is used for adults only. Follow all directions given to you by your physician and pharmacist carefully. The usual dose is one 150mg capsule every six hours a day. The number of capsules may increase with more serious infections. Continue taking Dalacin C until you finish the box or until your physician recommends. Please Note Do not take Dalacin-C if you are allergic to clindamycin, lincomycin, lactose or any other ingredients listed on the Consumer Medicine Information.
