What is Clincitop Gel (Clindamycin) used for?

Clincitop Gel (Clindamycin) belongs to the family of Lyncomycin antibiotics which is prescribed to prevent further growth of bacterial infections.

Clincitop Gel works by slowing down bacteria or preventing the growth of bacteria. This topical medication is effective in the treatment of acne. It can decrease acne lesions in patients.

How should I use Clincitop Gel (Clindamycin)?

Clincitop Gel is for external use only. Apply as instructed by your physician.

You will usually notice the effects of the medication within 6 weeks of use, and the full effects after a period of 12 weeks. Wash your hands using soap before and after applying the gel.

Please Note

Do not apply close to your eyes, nose, mouth, or any sunburnt or broken skin. Rinse immediately with cool water if the gel comes into contact with any of these parts of the body.

You should also inform your physician if you have experienced severe diarrhoea or IBS after using any antibiotics in the past.
