How does Betamil Cream (Betamethasone Dipropionate USP) work: Betamil Cream contains Betamethasone Dipropionate, a corticosteroid used to reduce skin inflammation. It is used to treat itchy skin conditions, eczema, dermatitis (skin inflammation), psoriasis, reddening of the skin. Dosage & Administration: Always use as directed by your physician. Normally Betamil Cream is used on the affected area once or twice a day. Clean the affected area before applying a thin layer of Betamil Cream. Rub it in until there is no visible trace of it remaining and wash your hands thoroughly. Do not cover the area with bandages or anything else unless directed by your physician. Side Effects:
Precautions: If using Betamil Cream for psoriasis you will need to see your physician regularly. It may work well short-term but can be detrimental long-term. Betamil should be used very sparingly on children and not without medical advice. Betamil cream should not be used for acne, bacterial or fungal infections, inflammatory rash in or around the mouth, itching around the genitals or anus, tuberculosis, or viral skin infections. Betamil Cream should not by used by pregnant or breast-feeding women.
