Vivitonin (Propentofylline) Tweet
How does it work: Vivitonin is given to elderly dogs to help reduce any problems with their hearing, sight or physical condition. It works by increasing oxygenation, neurological and cardiovascular function. It also reduces the severity of aging symptoms such as tiredness, apathy, lethargy, stiff gait, troubles standing or walking. It also increases dogs' energy levels, while restoring more shine to their dull coat. Vivitonin can also reduce the speed of cataracts forming so your dog can see better and for longer into old age. Dosage & Administration: The dosage will depend on your dog's weight and conditions. The tablets should be given on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before meals. A general dosage guide is provided below:
Side Effects: Vivitonin is generally a very well tolerated medication. If you think your dog is showing signs of adverse affect, inform your vet promptly. Precautions: Vivitonin may not be suitable for all dogs. Inform the vet before using if your dog is being given any other medication or supplements, or if it is pregnant or nursing pups. Always tell your vet if your dog has any allergies or any other medical conditions, especially kidney, lung, or heart related.
