What is Visiocare (Cyclosporine) used for? Visiocare Ointment is given to dogs to treat eye conditions such as keratoconjunctivitis sicca, chronic keratitis, and general dry eye. Its main ingredient is cyclosporine. Visiocare should be used as early on as possible to prevent eye conditions causing irreversible damage to your dog's eye sight. How should I use Visiocare (Cyclosporine)? The ointment is applied to the affected eye(s) every 12 hours. This will depend on the health condition of the dog and the dog's medical history. To apply, first remove any debris, discharge, mucus, from the dog's eye. Then apply a 1/4 inch strip of the ointment to the eye. Always follow the instructions provided by your vet. What are the side effects of Visiocare (Cyclosporine)? There are currently no known side effects associated with Visiocare Ointment. If you do suspect your dog is suffering from an adverse effect as a result of the ointment, always inform your vet as soon as possible. Please Note Discuss with your vet if your dog is being given any other medication, has any allergies, or is pregnant, nursing pups, or used for breeding regularly. Once open the ointment should only be used for one month. If after one month there is still ointment remaining in the tube, do not use and throw this away.
