Strongheart (Ivermectin/Pyrantel Pamoate) Tweet
How does it work: Strongheart is a canine drug given to dogs to eliminate heart worm. In additional to this, Strongheart may also offer management and/or treatment of hookworm, ascarids, Toxocara canis, and Toxascaris leonina. It destroys the parasites by releasing neurotransmitters which inhibit their nervous systems, paralyzing them and preventing them from reproducing or multiply. Dosage & Administration: Strongheart is not suitable for dogs of under 6 weeks of age. Always administer Strongheart as advised by your vet, failing this do so as recommended by the product packaging. The dosage is normally 1 tablet per month for the course of treatment. If you have trouble administering the medication, contact your vet for further advice. Side Effects:
Precautions: Before you give your dog Strongheart inform your vet of all other medication your dog is being given, and of all other health conditions your dog has.
