What is Frontline Plus (Fipronil/S-Methoprene) used for? Frontline Plus is given to pets and used to destroy and prevent fleas and ticks. It will kill any existing flea, tick, or chewing lice within 2 days. It will exterminate any eggs and larvae as well as any American, brown, deer and lone star ticks. How should I use Frontline Plus (Fipronil/S-Methoprene)? Open the packaging and snap the tip of the vial, then squeeze out the contents onto your pet's fur between the shoulders, parting the pet's fur to ensure it is applied as directly to the skin as possible. Do not stroke your pet around the area the solution has been applied for at least 48 hours. Keep your pet dry for 48 hours after applying Frontline Plus. This is to allow the solution sufficient time to be absorbed. If the solution comes into contact with the pet's eyes, or your own eyes, flush well using clean cool water.
