Tantum (Benzydamine HCL BP) Tweet
How does Tantum work: Tantum is a NSAID medication (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) which has local analgesic and anesthetic properties, offering extended and instant pain relief while also providing effective treatment for inflammation of the mouth or throat. Tantum Gel is most often used to relieve pain and/or inflammation associated with sore mouths or throats, particularly when caused by radiation therapy. The gel is administered as a mouth wash. Dosage & Administration: Always follow all directions provided by your physician. Dilute with water, gargle in your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting the gel into the sink. Never swallow the gel, use it only as a mouthwash. Side Effects: Normally Tantum Gel is well tolerated and any side effects are mild and short-lasting. If you experience any side effects which persist, worsen, or bother you, you inform your physician as soon as possible.
