How does Muvera (Meloxicam) work: Muvera (Meloxicam) is used to relieve the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis in adults including pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness. It belongs to the family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Muvera works by stopping the body`s production of a substance that causes pain, fever, and inflammation. Dosage & Administration: Use in children under 2 years of age is not recommended. The usual dosage of Muvera is one 7.5mg tablet daily but can be increased to 15mg if needed. It can be taken with or without food. Take Muvera as prescribed by your physician or pharmacist. Ask your physician or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Side Effects:
Precautions: Discuss with your physician about the possible risks of using this medication for your condition. Stop taking Muvera and call your physician if you have the symptoms such as gnawing or burning stomach pain, black or tarry stools, or vomiting. Do not take Muvera if you have had ulcers or stomach bleeding, have had asthma, hives or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs, have severe kidney problems, have severe liver problems, or are pregnant.
