How does Arthrexin (Indomethacin) work: Arthrexin (Indomethacin) contains the active ingredient, indomethacin. It belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). Arthrexin is used to relieve the pain and inflammation such as swelling, redness and soreness. Arthrexin can only relieve the symptoms of pain and inflammation, it will not cure your condition. Dosage & Administration: The usual dose is 50 - 200 mg a day, given in divided doses. The dose for menstrual cramps is usually one 25mg capsule every 8 hours, starting with the onset of bleeding or cramps. Elderly patients may need smaller doses. Children under the age of 2 years is not recommended to use Arthrexin. Swallow the capsules with a full glass of water. Arthrexin may be taken with food or an antacid. Follow all directions given to you by your physician and pharmacist carefully. Side Effects:
Stop taking Arthrexin and tell your physician immediately or go to hospital if you notice any of the following:
