Milk Supply : Dobren,Motilium,Reglan,Syntocinon,Thorazine

Insufficient milk supply is a common concern for women, and is a major cause of infant weaning. A galactagogue is the type of drug that induces lactation, or increases a woman's milk supply.

We stock and ship Metoclopramide (Reglan), Domperidone (Motilium), Sulpiride, Chlorpromazine and Oxytocin Spray (Syntocin). 4nRx also stocks hormones which may be required in your lactation protocol.

Dobren ® (Sulpiride)
Sulpiride is most often prescribed for patients with schizophrenia, and sometimes depression, but has been used off label as a galactagogue to promote lactation. Clinical trials have shown sulpiride significantly increased breast-milk yields. More details

Motilium ® (Domperidone)
Motilium is a dopamine antagonist with antiemetic properties that increases the movement of the stomach and bowels. It has been shown to increase prolactin levels and milk supply. More details

Reglan (Metoclopramide)
Reglan is usually used as a short-term therapy for adults with gastroesophageal reflux. A study of metoclopramide found that prolactin levels increased significantly. The amount of breast milk also increased between 30% and 40%. More details

Syntocinon ® (Oxytocin) Nasal Spray
Synthetic oxytocin is often used to induce labour for medical reasons, or if labour has not started naturally. Oxytocin nasal spray has been used in early lactation with some success. More details

Thorazine ® (Chlorpromazine)
Psychiatric practitioners have long noted galactorrhea in both males and females taking chlorpromazine (also a neuroleptic). It has been shown in case reports to increase milk supply. More details
