What is Ribavin (Ribavirin) used for?

Ribavin belongs to a group of medicines referred to as anti-viral, anti-infectives which is used to treat hepatitis C, as well as certain other conditions. Ribavin is also used in combination with interferon to treat chronic infections.

How should I use Ribavin (Ribavirin)?

Always use Ribavin as instructed by your physician.

Typically capsules are taken alongside food and a glass of water. Capsules should be swallowed whole without being chewed or crushed. Always dose at the same time(s) each day.

• jaundice
• hearing changes
• vision changes
• taste changes
• weight changes
• urination changes
• fever
• chills
• rashes
• hives
• difficulty breathing
• swelling

Ribavin is not suitable for patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
