How does Oflox (Ofloxacin) work: Oflox (Ofloxacin) is used to treat lung, skin, and urinary tract infections caused by bacteria. The active ingredient, Ofloxacin, belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Oflox treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections such as cold or flu. Dosage & Administration: Take Oflox (Ofloxacin) exactly as it has been prescribed by your physician. Follow your physician`s directions carefully. Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis: Nongonococcal cervicitis / urethritis: Uncomplicated cystitis: Oflox tablets can be taken with a full glass of water after food or empty stomach but it should be at the same time every day. Precautions: Before taking Oflox, tell your physician or pharmacist if you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other quinolone antibiotics.
