Giro (Ornidazole) Tweet
How does it work: Giro is an anti-infection medication used to treat various types of bacterial and protozoa infection. Conditions which it may be prescribed to treat include anaerobic infestations, vaginosis, amoebic dysentery, liver abscesses, hepatic amoebiases, intestinal amoebiasis, giardiasis,trichomoniasis, or Crohn's disease. For a complete list of conditions Giro can be used to treat consult your physician. Dosage & Administration: Use Giro strictly as you have been prescribed by your physician. Always complete the course of medication you have been prescribed, unless specifically instructed otherwise by a qualified health care professional. This is important even if your infection appears to have been successfully eliminated, as relapses can easily occur and the virus will usually be stronger the second time with a higher resistance to medication. Dosing is usually done after a meal or snack, alongside a full glass or water. Tablets are to be swallowed whole and should not be chewed, broken, split, or dissolved in liquid. Side Effects: The most commonly reported side effects include those listed below. Report any you experience to your physician, doing so urgently if you they persist, worsen, or become bothersome to you.
More severe side effects which require immediate medical attention include the following.
Seek emergency medical attention if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms might include skin rashes, hives, swelling, or trouble breathing. Precautions: Keep all appointments with your physician or other physicians. If you are undergoing surgery of any kind (including dental surgery), always inform your surgeon you are taking this medication. Sometimes medication can interfere with anesthesia. Avoid driving and any other activities requiring good attention until you are aware fully of how this medication affects your body. Some patients experience dizziness and/or weakness. Giro may not be safe if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive a child. Disclose details of any allergies you have, any other medication (including non-prescription) you take, and supplements or vitamins you take, as well as details of any other health conditions or illnesses you suffer from.
