How does Fungilin (Amphotericin) work: Fungilin (Amphotericin) is an anti-fungal medication prescribed to treat oral thrush. It works by interfering with the cells of the fungi and yeasts to create holes in the cells of the fungi membranes to kill of the infection. Dosage & Administration: Always take Fungilin as directed by your physician. The usual dose is 1 lozenge 4 times a day, taken orally after meals. Try to take it at the same time every day for 7 to 14 days. For best results ensure you finish the full course of Fungilin, or as otherwise prescribed by your physician. If your symptoms do not improve after a couple of days or they return when you finish your course of medicine, consult your physician for further treatment. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is close to the time of your next dose. If it is, skip the missed dose and continue taking Fungilin as normal. Never take a double dose.
