Fistide (Finasteride) Drug Class: Antiandrogen
Fistide (Finasteride) Description : Mean steady-state volume of distribution was 76 liters (range, 44-96 liters). Approximately 90% of circulating Finasteride is joint to plasma proteins.Inhibits 5-alpha reductase, an enzyme responsible for the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. This effect markedly suppresses serum dihydrotestosterone levels.

Fistide (Finasteride) is not indicated for use in pediatric patients.
