How does Finast (Finasteride) work: Finast (Finasteride) is used to treat men with male pattern hair loss to increase hair growth on the scalp and to prevent further hair loss.
Finast (Finasteride) is similar to Propecia, Proscar acts as an inhibitor of steroid 5-reductase, which appears to be the principal androgen responsible for stimulation of hair growth. Dosage & Administration:
Action: Finast is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme 5 reductase which converts testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Thus resulting in decreased serum levels of DHT.
