How does Duprost (Dutasteride) work:

Duprost (Dutasteride) is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate. Prostate growth is caused by a hormone in the blood called dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Dutasteride inhibits both type I and type II 5-alpha-reductase, and therefore has a greater potential of stopping the formation of DHT, the hormone responsible for androgenic alopecia commonly referred to as male pattern baldness.

Dosage & Administration:

Duprost's recommended dose is 1 capsule (0.5 mg) taken orally once a day. The capsule should be swallowed whole. Duprost can be administered with or without food. Never change your dosage on your own, only do so if your physician or pharmacist instructs you to.

It is recommended to taken the medicine each day at the same hour. If you cannot take your planned dose as the schedule dictates, please make sure to take the next dose as soon as possible. Duprost was created only for the administration for men. For this reason the administration of the medication for pregnant or breastfeeding women is strongly or advised. This is crucial for the avoidance of any possible risk to a developing male foetus.
