How does Sebizole (Ketaconazole) work:

Sebizole Shampoo (Ketaconazole) is used to treat Seborrhoeic dermatitis (waxy skin condition) and severe dandruff of the scalp in adults. Sebizole shampoo can cause hypersensitivity. It should not be used by those who have fungal meningitis, nor by those who are using the drugs terfenadine, astemizole, or cisapride. Caution should be used if you are taking certain other drugs because it may increase or decrease their effects or their toxicity.

The main ingredient of Sebizole, Ketoconazole, is a very efficient and powerful antifungal agent, which obstructs growth of diverse yeasts and fungi. The antifungal agent accumulates in your hair, which is the basis for an effective sustained activity. Sebizole shampoo will efficiently support you in controling seborrhoeic dermatitis and dundruff.

Dosage & Administration:

Please follow carefully all instructions of your medical advisor. In case you don't understand the instructions on the label, please ask your physician for directions.

• Wet your hair and right away apply sebizole on to your scalp. Then massage until lather occurs.
• Leave the lather on you scalp and hair for around three to five minutes.
• Rinse your hair rigorous under warm water. Try to avoid any contact with the eyes. Should nonetheless parts of the shampoo enter your eyes, you must rinse immediately and thoroughly with cold water.
• Note, never take more than recommended by your physician. It is usually recommended to use sebizole about twice a week. Don't apply the shampoo more than four weeks at one treatment-term. There should be an interval of around four weeks between two successive treatments.
  

Side Effects:

As mentioned below there are a few side effects which may occur during the application with Sebizole. Most likely you will not experience any of these. In case you do observe any unwelcome effects, please consult a physician, since some of these side effects may need medical assistance.

• Itchy or irritated skin and/ or scalp
• Oiliness and dryness of the hair and scalp
• Rashes
• Redness
• Local burning sensation

• Skin rash
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling

Precautions:

Caution should be used if you are taking certain other drugs because it may increase or decrease their effects or their toxicity.

Do not use Sebizole if you have had an allergy to ketoconazole in the past or if you have a known allergy against any of the ingredients listed at the product leaflet, such as skin rash, swelling and difficulty breathing.

Further Advice:

People under the age of 12 should not use Sebizole. Further it is not advised to use Sebizole, if the packaging seems to be tampered or if the shampoo shows visible signs of deterioration.
