Commonly Sebizole is used to treat Seborrhoeic dermatitis (waxy skin condition) and severe dandruff of the scalp in adults. Ketoconazole can cause hypersensitivity. It should not be used by those who have fungal meningitis, nor by those who are using the drugs terfenadine, astemizole, or cisapride. Caution should be used if you are taking certain other drugs because it may increase or decrease their effects or their toxicity.


Dosage & Administration Information:
Please follow carefully all instructions of your medical advisor. In case you don't understand the instructions on the label, please ask your physician for directions.
  • Wet your hair and right away apply sebizole on to your scalp. Then massage until lather occurs.
  • Leave the lather on you scalp and hair for around three to five minutes.
  • Rinse your hair rigorous under warm water. Try to avoid any contact with the eyes. Should nonetheless parts of the shampoo enter your eyes, you must rinse immediately and thoroughly with cold water.
  • Note, never take more than recommended by your doctor. It is usually recommended to use sebizole about twice a week. Don't apply the shampoo more than four weeks at one treatment-term. There should be an interval of around four weeks between two successive treatments.

The main ingredient of sebizole, ketoconazole, is a very efficient and powerful antifungal agent, which obstructs growth of diverse yeasts and fungi. Side Effects:

  • Itchy or irritated skin and/ or scalp
  • Oiliness and dryness of the hair and scalp
  • Rashes
  • Redness
  • Local burning sensation

In case you notice the following symptoms, contact immediately your doctor or visit an emergency department:
  • skin rash
  • difficulty breathing
  • swelling


Precautions:

Further Advice:
People under the age of 12 should not use Sebizole. Further it is advised to not use sebizole, if the packaging seems to be tampered or if the shampoo shows visible signs of deterioration.
