How does Ventolin (Albuterol Salbutamol) work:

Ventolin (Albuterol inhalation) is used for the treatment ofasthma and other chest illnesses such as chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The product is designed to relax the muscle in the lung and widens airways to improve breathing. Commonly it is used in the treatment of asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. The inhaler makes it possible that the medicine reaches deep into the lungs for maximum benefit.

Usually, air flows quite easily through a network of airways in and out of the lungs. What happens during an asthma attack is that muscles around those airways tighten, what makes it harder to breathe, since the airways narrow. This is known as bronchospasm.

Ventolin belongs to the family of drugs which are called beta-adrenergic receptor agonists, or beta agonists. Beta agonists are meant to stimulate beta receptors in the body. This includes those muscles around the airways. The stimulation causes a muscles relaxation, which in reverse opens up the airways and allows more air to flow into the lungs. Dosage & Administration:

Keep the Ventolin always dry and clean. Do keep the cap on the mouthpiece after each usage. It is recommended to clean the inhaler can once a week. This is done by removing the cap and position the mouthpiece under warm water. For best effectiveness do this for at least 30 seconds. Shake down the remaining water. Before putting the inhaler together, make sure the surplus water is shacked down.

Side Effects:

Commonly Ventolin is very well tolerated. But as mentioned below there are certain side effects aligned with Ventolin. Some men may experience those, others will not be effected by any of the following symptoms.
