How does Serevent Inhaler (Salmeterol) work: Serevent contains Salmeterol, a long-acting bronchodilator, which works by opening the airways and making breathing easier. It is used for people 12 years of age and older who are also using other medications (such as inhaled corticosteroids) to treat their asthma. These people still experience breakthrough asthma symptoms (cough, wheeze, tightening of the airways) and require regular use of a short-acting bronchodilator. Dosage & Administration: Serevent is used for long-term, twice-daily maintenance treatment of asthma. Serevent is also used for the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm. Side Effects:
