How does Edronax (Reboxetine Mesylate) work:

Edronax (Reboxetine mesylate) is commonly used to treat depression. The active ingredient Reboxetine increases the serotonin levels in the brain. It is also useful to help prevent depressions from recurring. Edronax tablets consists of the active ingredient reboxetine. Reboxetine is an antidepressant (a selective noradrenaline re-uptake inhibitor), which works on the brains nerve cells.

The brains neurotransmitters, work as chemical carriers between the nerve cells. One of those neurotransmitters is Noradrenaline.

Usually when a depression arises, the noradrenalin level in the brain is decreased. But when noradrenaline is released from the nerve cells in the brain, a mood lightening is the result. Then when noradrenaline is reabsorbed into the nerve cells again, the mood lightening impact will be equal to zero. The causative agent reboxetine works by inhibiting noradrenaline from being reabsorbed into the nerve cells again. In this way the procrastination of the mood lightening effect of the released noradrenaline is supported. Thereby reboxetine helps to alleviate any symptoms of depression.

It is very necessary to keep taking Edronax medication, even though one may not notice a big difference in the first weeks. Usually it takes between two to four weeks for the medicines pros to occur. In case the depression becomes worse and/ or if any harmful emotions and thoughts are experienced in the first few weeks, a physician visit is strongly advised.

Dosage & Administration:

The usual dosage of Edronax for adults is 4mg twice daily. In case of need the dose can be increased up to 10mg a day after a couple of weeks and after the consultation of a physician. In any case always use Edronax strictly as directed by your physician or pharmacist. It is recommended to take the medication each day at the same time.
