Dosage & Administration:
In general the maximum daily dosage is 20mg daily.
The starting dosage for elderly people with liver or kidney problems and for panic disorders with liver or kidney problems is around 10 mg once daily.
It is recommended that one takes the Aropax-dosage in the morning, with or after food. It may take between two to four weeks for the benefits of this medicine to appear, so it is very important to keep taking it, even if it doesn't seem to be effective in the beginning of treatment. If depression or anxiety worsens, or if you experience distressing thoughts or feelings in these first few weeks, then you should talk to your doctor.
How does Aropax work:
Aropax is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), which acts on nerve cells in your brain. Basically the mood-lightening effect of released serotonin can be prolonged, which helps in assisting easing fear, panic and depression.
Side Effects:
As enumerated below there are certain side effects aligned with Aropax. Some consumers experience these adverse reactions, others will not observe any of the following mentioned symptoms. Precautions:
It is recommended to avoid driving during administration of Aropax, at least as long as you are not sure, that you would have the vehicle fully under control. The same is relevant for operating heavy machinery. If one experiences even a little feeling of dizziness, a doctor should be consulted. Further it is highly recommended to avoid any alcoholic beverages while using the drugs, since one may not be able to estimate the effects it might have. Note that Aropax is a non- addictive drug.
If the consumer experiences signals of recovery, the dose can be reduced. Discuss this with your doctor and make sure it is done slowly, as you may have a reaction if you slow down your dosage to fast. This is valid primarily for the case people have been using large doses for a longer time.
In case you are pregnant, breastfeeding or plan to start, talk to your medical advisor before you start administering Aropax.
The Combining of Aropax and Fenfluramine, may cause unfavorable side effects, which includes heart valve problems and lung problems f.e. pulmonary hypertension. Let your medical advisor know, if you observe primary pulmonary hypertension on yourself, which are recognized by the following symptoms:
Chest pain
Blue skin or lips
Fainting or dizziness
Difficulty breathing
Ankle swelling
Weakness or fatigue
