How does Nalcrom (Sodium Cromoglycate) work:

Nalcrom contain the active ingredient sodium cromoglicate, which is used to relieve the symptoms of allergies.

Nalcrom is used for the treatment of certain food allergies, where the cause of the allergy has been proved with allergy tests. Nalcrom works by reducing allergic responses. It is not fully understood how it does this, but it is thought to work by `stabilising` immune cells called mast cells.

Dosage & Administration:

In adults, the initial dose is 2 capsules 4 times a day before meals. In children (aged 2-14), the initial dose is 1 capsule 4 times a day before meals.

Swallow the capsules whole or dissolve the contents in a small quantity of water to drink. If satisfactory control of symptoms is not achieved within 2 - 3 weeks the dosage may be doubled, but should not exceed 40 mg/kg/day.
