How does Butacort Nasal Spray (Budesonide) work: Butacort Nasal Spray (Budesonide) is a corticosteroid used to treat and prevent allergic rhinitis such as hay fever. Butacort Nasal Spray (Budesonide) reduces any irritation or swelling in the nose usually caused by an allergic reaction. It relieves the symptoms of an itchy, blocked, or runny nose. Dosage & Administration: The dose is 1 or 2 sprays into each nostril morning and night. Shake the bottle well and remove the cap. Blow your nose gently to ensure it is clear. Close a nostril and insert the applicator into the other nostril and deliver a couple of sprays while breathing in. Then breathe out through your mouth and repeat the procedure in the other nostril. Side Effects:
Precautions: Avoid using Butacort Nasal Spray (Budesonide) if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients, have a severe nasal infection such as thrush, have recurring blood noses or you bleed easily. Tell your physician if you are allergic to any other medicines or taking any other corticosteroids of any type, were recently injured or had nasal surgery, have tuberculosis or nasal ulcers, if you are pregnant, intending to become pregnant or breastfeeding.
