Atarax (Hydroxyzine HCL) is an antihistamine prescribed as a short-term treatment to help manage nervousness and tension linked to mental conditions like dementia and anxiety. Atarax is also effective in reducing the itchiness caused by allergies and in helping to calm patients before or after a surgical procedure. Atarax works by affecting levels of histamine, serotonin, and acetylcholine.

Dosage & Administration:

Tablets should be swallowed whole alongside a large glass or water. Do not chew the tablets or allow them to dissolve in your mouth.
